Wireless Trondheim has Wi-Fi coverage in large parts of the city centre of Trondheim and is offering internet access with high capacity to our users.
We want to keep going with the expansion and are offering property owners in the Trondheim region the opportunity to leave the installation and management of their wireless network to us.

Technology
Wireless Trondheim uses Wi-Fi technology. All laptops and many mobile phones support this technology. Wi-Fi has a limited range, but the equipment from Wireless Trondheim supports high capacity to the user. One access point normally has a radius coverage of 20-30 metres depending on building structure.
Extensive coverage area
Wireless Trondheim has a covers almost the whole city centre of Trondheim. The coverage is overlapping, so the user won't experience any drops in the connection when moving around in our coverage area. The user will be able to use the same connection in your premises as the city centre.

Trondheim was the first wireless city in Norway. We have unique experience and expertise in installation and management of wireless networks.
Local involvement
Wireless Trondheim started as a R&D project at NTNU and is now a private limited company with owners as the municipality of Trondheim, Sør-Trøndelag County Authority, Adresseavisen, Sparebank 1 SMN and NTNU.
Security
The login solution is user friendly, but also safer in regards to misuse than an open wireless network.
Price
After installation costs you will be charged 150 NOK per access point. This also includes maintentance and management.
